So obviously you are looking to find out a little more about me, or else you wouldn't have clicked on the link. Well, my name is Joseph Severino, though I usually go by Joey. Larinon is one of my more used web-handles, notably the name of my admin character on a MUD (online text-based role playing game) which I do not play anymore. I originally came up with the name for a dungeons and dragons campaign some years back. If you're wondering what the significance of is, then probably you're not a math person. The square root of negative one is the imaginary number "i", and if that confuses you then you probably shouldn't dwell on it any further.

I work as a full-time math instructor at Midland College. This means that in the long semesters I'll teach five classes and hold ten office hours per week. Usually I work a little bit more than that, but it is a great job that gives me lots of free time. Plus, with the way I've arranged my schedule, I get to sleep in till 9 am or so every morning. I love that flexibility, because mornings suck. It's good work if you can get it ;) My current title is Assistant Professor of Mathematics II, which basically means, in RPG terms, that I'm a level 4 faculty member (there are only 8 levels - until the expansion? ha!)

A couple of pictures of me from years past. There are more recent pics on my Facebook page. You can also find my "profile" at Anime News Network.
